LANDEK 06 as a part of INTERNATIONAL PROJECT "WE YOU OR TOGETHER"
Third biennale of the symposium LANDEK 06 will take place on 11 August - 8 September, 2006 in the grounds of the Mining Museum below Landek in Ostrava Petøkovice. The participants will be sculptors from several countries of the world :

- Lenka Klodová - Czech Republic
- Zuzana Èížková - Czech Republic

For the time of one month the sculptors will create their stone works directly in the grounds of the museum Below Landek at the sculpture atelier. The sculptures created at the symposium will enrich the public places in the region of Ostrava. During the symposium the Association will prepare an interesting program for the participants and organize meetings with celebrities of cultural and public life of our region. The artists as usual will visit the grounds of blast furnaces in Tøinec Steelworks; besides, they will go down the shaft of one of the active mines of Karviná coal mining district. During the symposium an exhibition of works of participated artists will be held in the grounds of the Mining Museum.
Following the symposium the Association will publish a catalogue and a short film documenting the whole event. For the time of the symposium he Association will ensure the support in all types of media (television, radio, press).
The third international sculpture symposium LANDEK 06 is a part of a project "WE YOU OR TOGETHER". This project will be organized by three independent subjects: Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava - Department of Sculpture / Object / Installation and Centre of Polish Sculpture in Oroòsko (institute of Ministry of Culture of Polish Republic). The whole project is intended for the general public in an international scale.
Altogether 20 participated artists will present their own works at the traveling exhibition in Bratislava, Ostrava and Oroñsko, and next at the grand exhibition that will show the results of mutual activities of the three subjects and participated authors. Afterwards the exhibition will be moving on to European cities (e.g. Warsaw, LodŸ, Berlin, Prague, Ostrava, Budapest, Bratislava). We expect further mutual cooperation on a continuous project "WE YOU OR TOGETHER" as a biennial in 2008.
